After earning a M.B.A. degree in economics from New York University, I began my career on Wall Street. As an executive in institutional equity departments, I consulted and marketed to portfolio managers at mutual, hedge, and pension funds concerning asset allocation, derivative securities, portfolio insurance, hedging strategies, macro-economics, and Asian company stock selection. In 1991, my book The Complete Guide to Convertible Securities Worldwide was published by John Wiley & Sons. Strategic decisions I made from 2002-2005 resulted in landmark law concerning electronic discovery and in part influenced changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. In 2005, I was named by senior editors at Fast Company, a management magazine, as one of The Courageous Few, the "10 rare leaders who did the right thing."
My passion for travel influences my hobbies: photography, painting, and writing. I have two works-in-progress. The first is a non-fiction account of my experiences during e-discovery and second, a political novel based in South America. I consult with and speak to legal, IT, business, law classes, and women's groups concerning e-discovery with a speciality in the financial industry.
